The conference that encourages debate and discussion!
Due to an overwhelmingly successful inaugural event in 2009, Organic Conferences in partnership withOrganic Farmers & Growers held their second annual conference in October 2010: Selling Organic: The Next Chapter. It took
a bold look at the promotion of organic food and the state of the market and was backed by big names and major players in the
industry. Feedback was extremely positive 'A high standard of presenter and presentations'
'An excellent line-up' 'A thoroughly enjoyable and thought provoking day'
The highly acclaimed series of 'Selling Organic' events have now become a key date in the organic calendar
and we are pleased to announce that Selling Organic: Building Partnerships will take place at the Barceló Oxford Hotel on
Thursday 13th October 2011.
This year the theme is 'Building
Partnerships', where industry members will discuss where the organic sector works well and how it can work better. Smoothly
functioning supply chains are crictical to successful business, with the quality of communication all along that chain
having an impact on every partners' ability to perform at the top of their game. For this year's event OF&G and
it's partner, Organic Conferences are very fortunate in having a speaker line up of some of the very brightest talent
from the food industry. They will examine the supply chain and share their experience on issues from buying to selling and
from analysis to employing the latest in social media such as Facebook and Twitter to promote and increase business. Anyone with a vested interest
in the continuing growth of organics should attend.
Richard Jacobs, Chief Executive of Organic Farmers & Growers and Chair for the United Kingdom Organic Certifiers Group
explains:
“ We are delighted to once again work with Organic Conferences to bring this succesful
event, now in it's third year to everyone's attention. The focus is always very much on practicalities of trading
in the organic sector and with an excellent line up of speakers, a good lunch, much of which is organic, trade stands and
plenty of opportunity for networking, this promises to once again be a really valuable experience for all."
During the course of the day topics examined will include marketing
with social media, farmer consumer partnerships and market intelligence, an update on the Organic UK campaign and analysis
of British grocery shopper sentiment. The day will culminate with 'Organic Question Time' giving delegates an opportunity
to put their questions to a panel of experts.
